Sreemathe RangaRamanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha
On this Manamatha varusham, Chithirai 1, Tamil New year's day, Andavan Ashramam Koil in Villivakkam celbrated the occasion on a full day programme. In the morning, Tirumanjanam for all Perumals were done , decorated with new vastrams. This was followed in the late afternoon, Sri Srinivasa Perumal mounted in the Garuda Vahanam, decorated with beautiful flower garlands. Perumal in Garuda vahanam, was taken round the Mada Veethis and local people very much enthusiastically received Perumal with aarathi in front of their houses. We had a prabandha ghoshti in the front of the procession. SripadamThaangis attached to Sri Damodara Perumal Koil, very much enthussiastically carried through the streets, with Nathaswaram in the lead. In the end Pathi ulaaththal was very much enjoyable and Perumal returned to his abode finally with Mangala aarathi.
The procession went upto the residence of Sri U.Ve. Veerapuram Krishnamachariar,who was very happy to receive Sri Chatari Mariyadai
