Yesterday I had the opportunity to be in Poundarikapuram Asramam, Srirangam, to take part in the 3 day function in connection with the Asramam Sweekaaram function of Sri U.Ve.D Rajagopalachariar Swamy. The main function is on 30/01/2012.But yesterday preliminary functions was held and I took out movie clips of some important events of the same. In the early morning Maalai Mariyaadai from Srimath Andavan has been specially brought from Chennai by Sri Eytex Rajagopal and presented reverentially to the new Swamy, who was present Dhampathi Sametharaai. Perumal and Paduka aaraadanams were carried out by Asramam aaraadakars and Theertha Prasaadams were received by hundreds of devotees assembled there.
