SRI NJ Ashramam Inauguration

With the blessings of HH Andavan's, Sri Ramanuja Mission Inc. has successfully inaugurated the Priest Quarters at our NJ Ashramam Premises on 4/14/2013.  The inauguration was conducted with all Sanchara Archa Moorthys and Poorvacharya Padhukas   Some Key Highlights from the Grahaprevasa event:

1.      HH Andavan gave a brief “Anugraha Bhashanam” over phone to all who were assembled at the NJ Ashramam premises during the event.  It was mesmerizing to listen to HH’s Mangala Sasanam on the occasion of the inauguration. 

2.      We followed all the procedures as outlined by HH in conducting the Grahaprevasa event – starting with Punyahavachanam at 6:30 AM and Perumal Pravesam at 7 AM to the house; followed by both Vasthu and Sudharshana Homams. Subsequently, Thirumanjanam to all Archa Moorthys  and Paduka Aaradhanam were performed.  The morning event was concluded with “Periya Sathumurai” and Aacharya Sambhavanai Kramam. 

3.      During the day, we had about 80 to 90 Bhagavathas attend the event including nearly 30+ Bhagavathas in the Ghoshti.  The Veda and Prabhanda parayanam reverberated at our new Home. 

4.      We would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of local volunteers who spent the most part of Saturday preparing the home for the event and key SRI Board Members from NJ, for assisting and completing the re-modeling of the home in time for inauguration.  We also appreciate the efforts of several Ashrama sishyas towards purchasing all the required items and preparing food for the Bhagavathas. We have a sufficiently furnished office room, fully functioning security system for the home, internet and phone service (Ashramam Priest Quarters Phone Number: 732-649-3666) and a completely upgraded kitchen with all new appliances. We also have a small Thirumadappali for preparing prasadam for Perumal.and Yaga Sala for special occasions.Next Key Steps: 

 1.      Our application to the township has been reviewed by the officials and the review looks favorable to our request to convert this property to an Ashramam/temple . The first hearing on our application will be held on May16, 2013. 

2.      All Archa Moorhy and other items procured for our Balalayam are in transit from Chennai and are expected to arrive sometime mid to late May. 

3.      We are requesting all our Sishyas and Abhimanis to actively participate to help us raise funds for construction of Balalayam.
