Yes, a new Ashramam building has come up, with attached Veda patasalai, Perumal and Achryan Sannathis at Ashramam complex are renovated, entire Ashramam building in the old are is fully repaired, Additional facilities are provided in Apara and Sradha karyam areas.

All of you know already, with the blessings of H H. the Saalakkinaru area was spruced with a new compound wall, Kinaru itself was desilted and replastered, a dedicated person was nominated to bring Saalakkinaru theertham everyday on his shoulders by walk of 7 KMs to Sri Deva perumal Tiruvaaraadanam.
After all these, Swamy Desikan Adiyars made a request for a new silver bell for Swamy Desikan sannathi at Sri Deva Perumal Temple. This was also done now by an Ashramam sishya, who was particular in presenting it on behalf of H H Srimushnam Andavan . Thsi silver bell with inscription of H H Srimushnam Andavan was presented to H H first in Chennai ashramam, then was carried to Sri Deva perumal Temple on Kadai Velli day, presented to Sri Perundevi Thayar  and with Her anugraham, the bell was carried to Swamy Desikan sannathi on Chithirai- Sravanam day,12/05/2012 and presented to Swamy Desikan by Aaraadakar Srivathsan.

At that time I was told thatin Sri Deva Perumal Sannathi, ther is a silver bell presented by Srimath Therazhundur Andavan. We now have a similar silver bell with Srimushanm andavan's name inscribed in Swamy Desikan sannathi in Sri Deva Perumal Temple. This is another landmark in our Ashramam's history.

Sriman Narayanan is present indifferent forms in this Kaliyuga as Archa Avatara Murthis. The places where those Murthees get the Managalaasaasanam from the twelve Azhwars are called Divya Desams, of which 106 are now existing in our Bhaarathadesam. Besides these Divya Desams, there are many places where the Archa Avatara murthees of Sriman Narayanan as well as His consort Sri Lakshmi are being worshipped and people get the blessings.

Like this there is one such Temple in the neighbourhood of Villivakkam, in Tirmangalam Road. This is easily accessible from Padi as well as Anna Nagar.

This temple is known as Sri Padmavathi Sametha Sri Srinivasa Perumal Koil. This is presently owned by Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam. Srimath Andavan has entrusted the administration of this temple to a committee headed by Sri R Srinivasan, Anna Nagar. Under his leadership, a public Trust is registered under the name of “ Sri Srinivasa Perumal Seva Trust “ and this trust is entrusted with the work of rebuilding the temple exactly as per Paancharaatra Agama Sastras and perform Samprokshanam at the earliest.

As per the plan, in the Garba Griham Sri Srinivasa Perumal with Alarmelmangai Thayar will be placed. Uthsava Murthees of Sri Srinivasar, Sri Ramar will be in the Ardha Mandapam. The temple will have two dwarabaalakaars, Lakshmi Hayageevar, lakshmi Narasimhar, Lakshmi Varahar, Sri Andal, Swamy Nammazhwar,Sri Ramanujar and Swamy Desikan. Sri Garudan and Sri Anjaneyar will be at the entrance of Ardha Mandapam. Presently existing Sri Chakrathazhwar will be relocated towards northwest.

Installation of all these idols as well as Samprokshanam is expected to cost about 15 lakhs. We are soliciting financial support to make the project highly successful. We request all devotees to participate in this effort, so that we have a good Temple, very near to thickly populated areas of Villivakkam, Padi and Anna Nagar. At present, the Baalaalayam of the temple has been done and Sthapathi work is in progress. We hope to complete the work in two month’s time and with the blessings of H H , do Samprokshanam at the earliest.

We are appealing to all devotees, as well as corporate houses, such as TVS group of companies in Padi area to extend financial support for the successful completion of the project. We seek the blessings of Sri Padmavathi Sametha Sri Srinivasa Perumal, the presiding deities of this Temple in the company of Sri Ramar, Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Chakrathazhwar and other deities shower the blessings for the welfare of all devotees supporting our endevour.

Pudukkottai Sri Varadaraja Perumal Koil

Sreemathe RangaRamanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

I was on a visit to my native place Pudukkottai, which has a beautiful Sri Varadaraja Perumal Koil. This is also our native family temple and by traditions our family receive temple honours, as kula deivam. Incidentally Moolavar is Sri Srinivasar and the Uthsavar is Sri Varadaraja Perumal, in whose name the temple is called. From Tiruchi, Pudukkottai is 53 KMs and beyond this you go to Tirumeyyam Tirukkoshtiyur, Tiruppullani etc. I have posted earlier some events taken place in this town. Now in my recent visit, I just took some short movie, whose youtube link, I am giving below. This may be of interest to some of our members, who are natives of Pudukkottai.
With the blessings of H H Srimad Andavan ,Mahasamprokshanam of this Temple was last done in 2001

A REQUEST FOR  FINANCIAL  SUPPORT FOR  A  PERUMAL  KOIL  RENOVATION  IN  VILLIVAKKAM , CHENNAI
Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam took over this temple in Villivakkam, in October, 2010, as per the wishes of its original founder Sri  Veerapuram Krishnamachariar.
This is a privately managed temple and is managed by a committee appointed  by  Srimath Andavan , headed  by Sri R Srinivasan.
The deities installed in this Temple are  Sri  Srinivasa Perumal, Sri Padmavathi  Thayar,  Sri  Ramar, Sri  Anjaneyar and Sri Chakrathazhwar.
The location of this Temple is in a central residential locality, many of them are employees of TVS group companies.
As per the wishes of His Holiness Srimath Andavan  ,  it is decided to improve the facilities in this Temple and to make it perfect in all aspects of Temple architecture and Pancharatra  Agama sastras.
Once renovated, the Temple will have main Sannathi for Sri Srinivasar and Sri Alarmelmangai Thayaar, followed by Uthsava Murthees of Perumal and Thayaar, Sri Ramar, Sri Namamzhwar, Sri Andal, Sri Ramanujar, Swamy Desikan in the Ardha Mandapam. Stone Idols Dwara Balakars , Sri Garudan, Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar, Sri Lakshmi Varahar and Sri lakshmi Narasimhar also find a place in the temple.
This temple is well known for the Anjaneyar, both Moolavar and Uthsavar. They will be installed at a special place at the entrance of Ardha Mandapam, in such a way Tirumanjanams can be conducted.
The existing Chakrathazhwar Sannathi will be  repositioned , so that  there will be a good view of  Perumal  and Thayar  from the entrance to the temple itself.
To facilitate early completion of all the works as stated above , Balalayam function was held on  26th  April , 2012. Renovation work under the able  guidance  of  well  known  sthapathis has started.
We estimate that the total work will cost about Rs 12  lakhs.  We are appealing to the members of the Public as well as Institutions to extend financial  support , by which we will have an impressive local  temple in the locality of Villivakkam and in the immediate  neighbourhood of  Padi TVS  group  companies.
Payments may be made by cheque  in the name of “ Sri  Srinivasa Perumal Seva Trust” . This is a registered Trust, specifically formed to take care of the interests of this Temple, under the niyamanam of Srimath Andavan.
If the donor would like to avail  IT exemption under 80 (G), the payments may be made in the name of  “ Sri  Paduka Charities”.
For better coordination, the payments made as above may please be sent to the following address ;  Sri R Srinivasan, “Sri  Paduka Vihara Bhavanam” , Plot No.1557, 17th Main Road, Anna Nagar West, Chennai 600040.
